To commemorate its silver jubilee celebrations, the Indraprastha University inaugurated a 5-day long Health Mela today

The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprasth University, marking its silver jubilee celebrations, inaugurated the IPU health mela today at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.



After the arrival and welcome of guests of honours, a ribbon cutting ceremony at the pavilion and lighting of the Health Mela Torch took place.


After the inauguration of exhibits and arrival of guests of honours at the main stage, lighting of lamp and recitation of Saraswati Vandana took place. It was followed by a classical dance performance by Devika. It was followed by a welcome address by the Vice Chancellor of IPU.


 

There was a brief address by the guests of honours, Amit Yadav (IAS), Chairperson NDMC, Professor M. Srinivas, Director AIIMS, Alice Var R (IAS), Secretary HE, Government of Delhi, Ankita Chakravarty (IAS), Secretary NDM, Bhupesh Chaudhary (IAS), Director HE, Dr Jitendra Prasad, Addl Director, CGHS.





Some other distinguished guests of honour also spoke on the occasion.



After the presentation of mementoes, A "Fusion Yoga" performance took place.



The session concluded after a vote of thanks by the Registrar.
