Program organized on Teacher's Day in Delhi University

Former RSS Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi said that the development of any country will not be measured by the measurement of arithmetic and today's chemical method. Bhayyaji Joshi was addressing as a guide in the program organized on the topic ' Role of teachers in nation building ' on Teachers' Day at Delhi University . He said that western countries have set the criteria of development on their own basis. Their development is assessed on the basis of them. Compared to Indian thought, they are of a very low level. Only a person with material prosperity is considered superior. Organized under the joint aegis of Value Addition Courses Committee (VAC) of Delhi University and Bharat Vikas Parishad, the Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal was present as the chief guest while Bharat Vikas Parishad's National Organization Minister Suresh Jain and Honorable Supreme Court Former Justice Adarsh Goyal was present as a special guest in the program. The program was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof. By Yogesh Singh.

Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi said in his address that if we consider two sides of development, then one side of it is opulence which India has never neglected and India will never do so. India has been a glorious golden land and will remain a golden land but its other side is that how a person will become on the plane of mind. This side will also need to be strong. He said that India will become a world leader, but it is our destiny that we can be the reason for it. Bhaiyyaji Joshi said that today we really need to think about what is the role of all of us in the development of India. The country does not become big because of the leaders, the greatness of the country depends on the life of its common man. He said that there is a dearth of such personalities who can be emulated . What kind of persons are likely to be formed ? This needs to be considered. The kind of era that exists today, if India is also affected by it, then there will be no one left to guide the world. If the world is to be taken to values like peace, non-violence , truth , hard work , authenticity , loyalty and mutual co-operation, then there should be a provision of these values in Indian formal education. Its effort should be through universities. He said that knowledge is misused rather than put to good use when there are evils on the mental basis.

Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, in his address, shared many anecdotes referring to non-political incidents in the life of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Describing the post of teacher as important, he also remembered former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who gave importance to teaching work after his retirement from the post of President. Meghwal remembered Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev and Shaheed Rajguru as well as Durga Bhabhi and said that she was also an unsung heroine of the freedom struggle. Meghwal narrated the memoirs of his life and told how his wife continued his education by paying his fee of two rupees.

Presiding over the program, Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof. Yogesh Singh said that the habit of reading actually makes a person a teacher. The Vice-Chancellor called upon the present teachers to read at least 12 books in a year. He said that self-study is necessary for a teacher. Along with this, he called upon the students to read more and more books. The Vice Chancellor said that teachers have an important role in nation building.
