8th BRICS International Competition Conference 2023: New Horizons in Competition Law

The 8th BRICS International Competition Conference is taking place from the 11th to the 13th of October 2023 at The Ashok in New Delhi. The conference revolves around the theme "New Issues in Competition Law and Policy," offering various perspectives and addressing challenges in the field.

The day commenced with the Opening Ceremony, which included the lighting of the lamp and welcome addresses by Smt. Ravneet Kaur and Hon’ble Justice Ashok Bhushan.





The day continued with a Plenary Session 1, moderated by CCI, India, focusing on the release and discussion of BRICS joint documents. Key speakers included representatives from Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa.






Plenary Session 2 is exploring new issues in competition law and policy in the BRICS countries. A tea and coffee break will be scheduled to keep attendees refreshed. Two breakout sessions will follow the BOS 1 on competition analysis in the digital economy, and BOS 2 discussing sustainability and climate change's impact on competition law.

The day will conclude with a grand conference dinner and cultural program.
