Yoga Mahotsav Marks 75 Day Countdown to International Yoga Day 2024 in Pune with Grandeur

 Yoga Mahotsav - 75 Days countdown to International Day of Yoga 2024 organized at Pune, Maharashtra 


The Yoga Mahotsav, commemorating the 75-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga, drew an impressive gathering at Wadia College Sports Ground, Pune, Maharashtra. Jointly hosted by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga and the National Institute of Naturopathy under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, this event saw the vibrant participation of over 5,000 yoga enthusiasts. Their collective practice of the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) underscored the unifying power of yoga in enhancing well-being and community spirit.


Distinguished guests graced the event, including Satyajit Paul, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Ayush; Vishwas Mandalik, President, Yoga Vidya Gurukul, Nashik; Vijayalakshmi Bharadwaj, Director, Ministry of Ayush; Satya Lakshmi, Director, National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune; and Vaidya Kashinath Samagandi, Director of MDNIY. Their presence underscored the collaborative commitment to propagate the benefits of yoga far and wide.


During the festivities, Satyajit Paul celebrated the monumental gathering and the pivotal role of Pune in this global movement towards health and harmony. Vishwas Mandalik, reminiscing on yoga's contribution to global wellness, highlighted its essence in achieving mental and physical congruence.


The climax of the Mahotsav was the mass performance of the CYP, led by MDNIY experts, demonstrating the protocol's significance in daily practice. This significant session, along with speeches by yoga luminaries, was broadcasted across various social media platforms, amplifying its reach.


The Indian Yoga Association, with its Maharashtra State Chapter, played a supportive role in this 75th-day celebration, further solidifying the nationwide anticipation for the upcoming International Day of Yoga.
