The Vice President emphasized India's status as a democratic nation with a strong judicial system, asserting the country's independence from external dictation on the rule of law. Celebrating the 70th Founders' Day of the Indian Institute of Public Administration in New Delhi, he remarked on the accountability enforced by Indian law, even on those previously deemed untouchable by legal consequences. Highlighting the issue of individuals resorting to protests when facing legal action, he called for a collective reflection on the undermining of the rule of law and criticized the misuse of human rights as a shield for wrongdoings.

Describing the Indian judiciary as robust, people-centric, and autonomous, he questioned the rationale behind resisting legal processes and condemned the normalization of corruption as a means to gain opportunities. He praised the judiciary's proactive approach in providing justice promptly and criticized the unfounded attacks on India's institutions. With India's rising global stature, he advocated for India's deserving place in the decision-making arena and specifically its inclusion in the United Nations Security Council, highlighting India's unique position as a globally recognized democratic country.

The Vice President also inaugurated the newly renovated premises of the Indian Institute of Public Administration and released various publications of the institute during the event.
