National Cyber Security with significant others inaugurated the ‘Bharat NCX 2023’

Lt Gen MU Nair, the National Cyber Security Coordinator, and Deputy National Security Advisor Rajinder Khanna, the "Bharat NCX 2023" was officially opened today by Ajay Kumar Sood, the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India. The 2nd Edition of the National Cyber Security Exercise 2023, or "Bharat NCX 2023," will be held as a hybrid exercise over the course of twelve days, from October 9 to October 20, 2023, with the goal of educating senior management and technical staff from government/critical sector organisations, as well as public and private agencies, about current cyberthreats and how to handle incidents and responses to them.

In a strategic relationship with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), Government of India, is running the programme.

This premier event acts as a unifying forum for more than 300 participants, representing a wide range of government agencies, public organisations, and the private sector. All participants are steadfastly committed to the protection of critical information infrastructure through training sessions, Live Fire, and Strategic exercises. Participants will receive instruction on a number of important aspects of cyber security, including intrusion detection techniques, the Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP), vulnerability handling and penetration testing, network protocols and data flows, digital forensics, and others.

Strategic leaders will benefit from Bharat NCX India's assistance in better comprehending cyberthreats, evaluating readiness, and developing abilities for cooperating and managing crises online. Additionally, this will aid in the development of cybersecurity expertise as well as test decision-making, planning, and teamwork abilities.

The keynote talk by Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, was powerful and struck a chord with the audience. Sood's passionate lecture emphasised the necessity of upgrading the cyber workforce and motivated the audience to develop into a formidable army of cyber warriors.

Lt. Gen. M U Nair, National Cyber Security Coordinator, gave a strategic review of India's cyberspace, which added to the event's prominence. His observations shed light on the changing nature of cyber threats and emphasised the crucial role that everyone must play in maintaining the security of the country's digital assets.

Colonel Nidhish Bhatnagar, Director of Rashtriya Raksha University, praised the Indian government's persistent dedication to cybersecurity on the sidelines of the ceremony. In an era marked by widespread digitization, a larger danger surface, and a move towards workforce development in cyber security, he emphasised the crucial role that such programmes play in maintaining India's cyber safety.

Additionally, Bharat NCX 2023 will host a special exhibition showcasing the creativity and resiliency of Indian Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and Cyber Security startups. This exhibition will highlight the state-of-the-art products and technology created by these innovative companies, highlighting their crucial contribution to strengthening India's cybersecurity ecosystem.

Over 200 Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from the government, public organisations, and the commercial sector will attend a distinguished summit that Bharat NCX 2023 will organise. An exclusive forum for in-depth conversations and deliberations on the changing cyber security landscape will be offered by this gathering of industry executives.
