MeT Office predicts drop in temp across north India owing to Western Disturbances

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed there will be a drop in temperature owing to the cyclonic situation that has weakened and Western Disturbances have started to appear over northern. However, there will be no respite from the heatwave condition. 

Those residing across Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh will face severe heatwave. According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the situation in Delhi, Punjab, and Rajasthan predominantly will become intense in the coming few days and people in these places will have to face heatstroke (locally known as loo). The temperature will hover from 41 degrees Celcius to 45 degrees Celcius. The temperature may further rise. 

People are advised to stay indoors as much as possible and avoid going out during the afternoon when the sun is at its peak. However, those who are required to step out should follow the following advice:

Drink plenty of fluids including plain water
Cover yourself from heat
Do not step out empty stomach
Take bath after returning home
