Admiral Hari Kumar's Poignant Farewell Visit to Southern Naval Command Emphasizes Unity and Innovation


During a sentimental farewell visit to the Southern Naval Command (SNC) in Kochi from 3rd to 6th April 2024, Admiral Hari Kumar, alongside Kala Hari Kumar, President of the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), engaged deeply with the naval community. The visit included a broad interaction with officers, sailors, and defence civilians, focusing on the Indian Navy's operational strategies, training, human resource development, and digital transformation.


The inauguration of a new NWWA Kendra by Kala Hari Kumar marks a significant enhancement in welfare facilities, featuring office space, a conference hall, and wellness amenities. Moreover, the Admiral's initiative 'SAMPARK 3.0' aims to strengthen the connection with veterans and veernaris across Kerala through an extensive outreach programme.


Admiral Kumar's visit to INS Dronacharya and HQ Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) was marked by nostalgia and inspiration, encouraging a steadfast commitment to excellence and teamwork. His tenure as the 16th FOST highlighted his enduring contribution to naval training and readiness.


The unveiling of 'Kulwant Singh' block, a new accommodation for DSC personnel, underlines the Navy's dedication to the welfare of its personnel, offering modern living conditions to foster a supportive environment for the families.


A culminating 'Barakhana' at INS Garuda offered a platform for Admiral Kumar to reinforce the importance of duty, courage, and unity within the naval fraternity, leaving a lasting imprint on the SNC and its mission to secure India's maritime interests
